The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) received a visit of students from the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB or Bandung Institute of Technology) on 23 May 2018 and students from Faculty of Management of Sampoerna University on 24 May 2018 at SKK Migas’ Head Office in Jakarta.

The visit paid to the office of SKK Migas is a form of a positive response to the Upstream Oil and Gas Goes to Campus (GTC) activities held by SKK Migas at the end of 2017. The visiting students from the two universities were directly welcomed by the Program and Communications Division.

The students from ITB visited the geology, geodesy, reservoir (GGR) room on the 35th floor of Wisma Mulia Building, and joined a briefing provided by Expert Staff to the Chairman of SKK Migas, Awang Harun Satyana. Meanwhile, the presentation on the most recent upstream oil and gas business activities was delivered by Senior Manager of Program and Reporting, Mohammad Kemal.

On the following day, another visit was paid by students from Sampoerna University. A presentation on upstream oil and gas activities was delivered by Head of Accounting Division Desti Melanti and Head of Revenue Accounting Department Donna Muslimatiah.

At the end of the visit, each participant also went to SKK Migas’ Library, guided by the staff of Organization, Human Resources Planning, and Governance Division, Ery Istiono.

This kind of visit is expected to provide a more real picture to the academic society on how SKK Migas performs its duties and functions by continuing to put forward the accountability, efficiency, and strict supervision on upstream oil and gas operations to meet national production targets.
